Smoke Alarm Installation

While installing your smoke alarm, our team follows Western Australian safety requirements, such as:

• Hard wiring smoke alarms to mains power with a backup battery, unless exempt where there’s no mains power or insufficient ceiling space
• Interconnecting all smoke alarms where multiple units are installed in the same building
• Positioning alarms on the ceiling, at least 300mm from any walls, to avoid ‘dead air’ pockets that can delay triggering

These are just some of the safety requirements set out by Western Australian law which must be followed while installing or replacing a smoke alarm. Above all, all installations must be carried out by a licensed electrician.
